I paint the moments that are easier to feel than explain. Working in oil on canvas I stretch myself, using frames I build by hand, I bring human figures and landscapes together to tell stories that feel familiar, the kind we've all lived through in one way or another. The whole process is done by hand, start to finish, made by one person for the people who see it.
I was born and raised in Southern Orange County, CA. I grew up expecting to follow my parents into business, and did, studying business and computer science in Fullerton, CA. Along the way, painting became a way to express things that words couldn't quite capture, and it slowly became a practice of its own.
Before settling into oil, I spent time experimenting with acrylic and paint pouring in whatever space I could find. It wasn't until I had a proper studio, and the time to actually use it, that my work started to feel like my own.
